Aune Greggas reports:

“Working from a Christian standpoint for health and welfare of people has always been the main point in my ministry.

“Early in my ministry (1971-1975) when I was secretary editor for the Adventist Finnish Health paper, Terveys, the most important topics we shared were those encouraging people to use whole-wheat products, eat more fruit and vegetable and decrease the use of fat, sugar and salt. Getting more exercise was important to promote too.

“When working for the Finnish Signs for the Times, Nykyaika (1976-1979 and 1981-1986), I wanted the paper to give the best possible basis for a Christian world view and lifestyle.

“Since becoming the secretary of the Finnish Adventist Temperance Association, ETRA-liitto ry in 1994, I have emphasized prevention: teaching parents to be responsible parents and helping the young to be able to choose a better life without alcohol, tobacco and drugs.

I have also worked with a health education and tobacco intervention program in Nepal (1999-2006).  More than 100,000 students have attended the two day health education course, and more than 150,000 attended the Street Play show in 164 villages throughout 17 districts in Nepal.
